What is Recreational Therapy?

Recreational Therapy (RT) is a skilled intervention for individuals with disabilities due to injury or illness. Recreational Therapists have completed at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Recreational Therapy. They are also certified by the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification and are required to fulfill continuing education credits to maintain this certification.
